The Role

We are seeking a Senior AI Research Scientist with a passion for pushing the boundaries of machine learning applied to language models or computer vision. In this role, you will lead pioneering projects, exploring new algorithms, architectures, and scaling strategies to power our next wave of AI models. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of world-class researchers and engineers, translating theoretical innovations into real-world impact.
What You’ll Do
- Optimize implementations of stateful gating algorithms that expand the capabilities of AI beyond deep learning models.
- Lead research on next-generation AI models, from conceptual design to implementation and deployment at scale.
- Architect and optimize distributed training based on curriculum learning and inference for massive customer support.
- Collaborate with peers across machine learning, systems engineering, and applied research.
What You Bring
- PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in bringing AI technology to new levels.
- Proficiency in PyTorch and other Python libraries and experience in implementing algorithms from scratch to run on GPUs.
- Ability to quickly learn and deeply understand new machine learning concepts (not afraid of steep learning curves).
- A strong research publication record in top-tier venues.
- The ability to thrive in ambiguity, with a balance of independent innovation and collaborative execution.
- Hands-on experience with scaling machine learning systems across distributed infrastructure is a plus.
- Ability to write optimized CUDA functions in C++ is a plus.
- Experience with training large language models and transformer architectures is a plus.
- Experience working with customers is a plus.
